I've seen people with comparable specs running smoothly. I would imagine this should work? I don't need crazy FPS/performance like I did back in my WoW days - we just want to be able to play, a bit of lag or somewhat lower fps is fine. I'm a single mom mostly playing with my 4 year old, lol. Not that great - but the steam games on it run fine (FEAR series, Cargo 3, Fallout 3 & New Vegas, Dead Effect, Bioshock) I also have a Windows computer, but I think the specs are just not as good. Should I start investing my time into trying to get this to work on the Windows PC? I just avoided it because the computer is generally more laggy than my mac, the screen resolution is awful and it's also cracked. Would love to hear thoughts/suggestions and any help getting it to run smoothly on the mac would be MUCH APPRECIATED.PCSX2 is a full-throttle desktop emulator for Sony PlayStation 2. It puts any PlayStation 2 game on your PC with the added appeal of getting to set up your graphics configurations as you see fit - often far surpassing original visuals. In order to set up, simply install the appropriate BIOS file for any regional PlayStation 2 - that said, they're NOT loaded within this program albeit a quick Google search should put all the files you need in your hands fairly easily. After just a few quick steps you get to play any and all original PlayStation 2 games from your DVD drive. Otherwise, you can also opt into loading images directly from your hard drive which speeds things along slightly. Set up game controllers, video and audio parameters, plus easily opt to save your games on an external SIM card. With over 1500 games available - all of which run seamlessly - you'll find this catalog is ripe with compatible titles. That said, there are a few games with the occasional hiccup, but all in all PCSX2 has proven a very successful PlayStation 2 rendition for PCs.

Neelmans reputation is solid as a LEADER and creator of airlines. I can't imagine making a model out of this. Im sure the college and boarding is part compensation, how about health insurance, and work rules? Excellent oral and written communication skills, Skilled in handling difficult situations, problem solving, complaint resolution and conflict de-escalation, Ability to work with individuals and teams at all levels in the organization, Health Savings Account with Breeze Employee Match. For these kinds of events, the clothing is usually business casual. Too many men on here looking for young chicks to feed their fantasies. Improving our guests travel experience using technology, ingenuity and kindness. Okay, here are the perversions in this plan: First, the airline isn't going to do most of the recruiting selection. 11 2001 put a halt to my hopes of that plan. I flew for 11 years with a bottom feeder regional airline with hopes of advancing to a mainline carrier, however the tragic events of Sept. However, being a flight attendant is tiring, no matter your age. While the minimum age of the college-enrolled flight attendants is 18, older applicants can apply through the college program if they enroll as a student.New flight attendants of Breeze Airways have a fixed monthly income of $1200. Nelson pointed to the cabin crew - with more than 100 years of experience combined - that helped save lives when US Airways flight 1549 made a forced landing in the Hudson River in 2009. Read More: JetBlue founder David Neeleman reveals how his new airline can succeed by flying weird routes for low pricesĪmerica's largest flight attendant union has pushed back against Breeze's plan, citing potential safety issues from using "less experienced and mature" flight crews, Sara Nelson, president of Association of Flight Attendants-CWA union and one of the country's most vocal labor advocates, told Bloomberg. Notably, many other airlines also do not require college degrees to apply. Other than academic requirements, job postings for the two programs are nearly identical, including a minimum age requirement of 18 years. "This way, they have both options they can do a regular flight attendant role or they can do it earning a degree on the side."Ī regular position offers 70 guaranteed flight hours per month if candidates agree to a four-year contract, the full-time posting reads. "We were getting some good results but we needed to attract more people," Edmondson-Jones said. But lower than expected recruitment numbers have required the airline to open up regular positions with no requirements of being a student, airline spokesperson Gareth Edmondson-Jones confirmed to Insider. nice, all while taking on line classes and earning your degree at Utah Valley University!" the posting continues.īreeze intended for all of its flight attendants to be degree-seeking students. "We expect you to welcome and accommodate Guests, mitigate high-stress situations, collaborate and problem solve with other Team Members, use good judgement, and just be. These training programs for all airlines are regulated and approved by the Federal Aviation Administration. Flight attendants are tasked, in part, with ensuring the safety and well-being of every passenger onboard and guiding them in the event of an emergency. The responsibilities might be more than college students would expect from a run-of-the-mill work-study program. Account icon An icon in the shape of a person's head and shoulders. Holden vehicles fitted with Chevrolet V8 engines used the 1.76 ratio gear-set. One notable exception was the export version of the transmission, which offered only the 1.82 ratio and was used by Holden in Australia behind their Australian built 6-cylinder and V8 engines. Most of the V8/Powerglide transmissions came with the 1.76 gear set. With a 3.31 axle, Car and Driver magazine noted a full-throttle up shift speed of 76 mph (122 km/h) to direct with the 409-4bbl 340 hp (250 kW) engine in a contemporary road test. A heavy duty version of Aluminium Powerglide was offered for passenger cars equipped with the 409 cubic inch V8 engine, and Chevrolet light trucks using a 1.76:1 reduction planetary gear set, instead of the usual 1.82:1. In 1962, GM started building Air Cooled Powerglides in aluminium, primarily for use in the new model Chevy II, which required a lightweight transmission for its compact body, and discontinued the cast iron Powerglides in 1963. By the mid-1950s, more than half of all new Chevrolets were sold with Powerglide. The 1953 and later units when in "Drive" started in low and automatically up shifted to high at a speed determined by the throttle opening. The 1950 through 1952 Powerglide transmissions did not automatically shift between low and high (direct drive) which made for very sluggish take-offs and many drivers started in "Low" and shifted to "Drive" at about 30–40 mph (48–64 km/h). The transmission was simple and very durable, which satisfied customers. When introduced on upper-level Chevrolet models in 1950, the Powerglide represented the first automatic transmission offered in a low-priced automobile in contrast, Ford did not offer their automatic transmission until 1951, while Plymouth car buyers had to wait until 1954. They were also used with Nova engines in the DJ-5A Jeeps produced 1968-1970 by Kaiser-Jeep and widely used as delivery vehicles by the United States Post Office. Powerglides were used extensively on Pontiacs produced for the Canadian market with Chevrolet powertrains. It was available primarily on Chevrolet from January 1950 through 1973, although some Pontiac models also used this automatic transmission after the fire at the Hydra-Matic factory in 1953. The Powerglide is a two-speed automatic transmission designed by General Motors. That said, if you lose access to your Emergency Kit and forget your Master Password then there’s, unfortunately, no way to recover it since it is neither stored locally nor on 1Password’s servers.įinally, once you’ve got your account setup and activated, all you must do is install the software onto your laptop, mobile device, or wherever you’ll be using it, and you’re good to go. But in the end, that’s what your Emergency kit is there for in the first place, so you can fall back on it in case you happen to forget your password. Your Master Password is the only password that you will have to remember, so make sure it’s something you won’t forget but strong enough that it can’t be cracked. Needless to say, your Emergency Kit contains extremely sensitive information, so we would recommend encrypting the file, printing the PDF and locking it in a fireproof safe deposit box, or storing it with a secure cloud storage service. The Emergency Kit also includes a unique QR code you can scan to add additional devices without needing to enter your Secret Key. This key is needed for each new device you add to your account, but don't worry, you won't have to memorize it thanks to the service's “1Password Emergency Kit,” which stores your Secret Key, email addresses, and your Master Password (optional) in PDF format. Once you have verified your account, 1Password will automatically create a “Secret Key” for you, which is a locally generated string of 34 letters and numbers unique to your account. However, as mentioned above, you can add your card later during your 30-day free trial to ensure your service continues uninterrupted should you want to proceed with the service after the trial. Next, you will be prompted to add your credit card information. You will then receive a six-digit code via email to verify your account. The first thing you will need to do is enter your name and email address. Setting up your 1Password account is fairly simple and straightforward. Despite the page’s best efforts to get you to enter your credit card details, you can simply click on the small link to “Add card later” at the bottom of the page and activate your free trial without being subject to the vexing process of having to enter payment details for something that’s supposed to be free. You don't even need to supply your payment information to activate the trial, meaning you can avoid those pesky automatic charges that usually follow. That being said, 1Password does offer a 30-day free trial, so you can try it for a month to see if it’s the right solution for you. Unlike many of its competitors, 1Password does not offer a free plan. You can also add additional account logins for a buck apiece if needed. If you want to share a plan with family or friends, then you’re looking at $4.99 per month for five logins with the family plan when billed annually, which comes out to $59.88 per year. That comes out to a very reasonable $35.88 per year. The personal plan gets you a single account login, and will run you $2.99 per month when billed annually. Pricingįor personal use, 1Password’s pricing plans are pretty much in the middle of the pack compared to other top password managers on the market today. If this is a deal-breaker for you, there are open source solutions like KeePass, but these programs aren't as accessible and have a lengthier manual setup time. It is cross-platform, syncing any password, credit card, driver's license, passport, bank account, and document across all devices.Īlthough 1Password does its best to remain transparent, the application is a closed source password management tool, which means it is impossible to verify that the company is forthright about what it is doing behind the scenes. Originally releasing exclusively for macOS, 1Password now supports all major platforms, including Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS, and Chrome OS. Better yet, 1Password has an auto-fill feature that fills in login fields automatically, which not only saves you time but protects you from dodgy phishing pages that aren’t the real deal. The only password you will need to remember is the password you use to log in to the service itself. Weak passwords make a hacker’s job that much easier, but even if you come up with one complex enough, reusing it will compromise all accounts that share the same password – which is where 1Password comes in.ġPassword is a password manager that can create and store truly unique passwords in one place, so you don’t have to remember them all. Keeping your online accounts secure is becoming ever more important these days as cyber threats continue to evolve and exploit weaknesses in the hopes of stealing mountains of personal data. Wesleyan offered a climate controlled space at the Music Library along with occasional graduate student help to preserve the collection. Phil Ciganer, founder to the Towne Crier Café, donated these recordings (previously held at Vassar) to Wesleyan. Both festivals produced recordings of folk music and singer-songwriters of the era. Casserly noted the integral role of the College of Fine Arts and the Conservatory, as they are key to and a fundamental part of the student experience at BU.
